New beginnings...

There's an unfamiliar calm currently resonating from our home. The little guys are asleep, evidence of the waking hours strewn throughout the house. Day old dishes are mounded in the sink with residuals over every inch of counter tops. Mountains of laundry, clean but unfolded, line the hallway. Our home is a complete disaster, yet a resounding sigh escapes me. My first manuscript is in the mail. It is tucked away in an priority envelope, sealed, stamped and awaiting delivery conformation. Usually the mess andclutter are greatly distressing but not today. As I sit drinking Kristian Regale straight from the bottle, my mind ponders the endless possibilities this new chapter may bring!

This very glamorous picture was taken by a USPS employee.

Conformity

Ok, ok I'm dating myself to say I'm a new blogger. Been putting it off for far too long. As a child, I received several "Round2It" awards and that procrastination has followed into my adulthood. Don't get me wrong, I love to write! It's one of my most favorite things to do. It's just that my inner critic keeps me for publishing anything.

However, today is a new day. Today my manuscript will be sent to a publisher. It's a fulfillment of a life long dream and I need to toughen up if I'm going to be an author. Today is a new day. A new chapter. A new adventure. A new ride I will enjoy.
